Ronald W. Pelton Obituary

Ronald William Pelton, 80, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Autumn Lake at Ballenger Creek Facility in Frederick. Born on November 18, 1941, in Benton Harbor, MI, he was the son of the late Ralph W. Pelton and Myrtle Pelton, nee Nimtz. 

He was an US Air Force Veteran. After leaving the Air Force, he worked for the National Security Agency as an Analyst and later in his career sold luxury boats. He enjoyed flying in his younger years and bragged about how he learned from a retired RAF pilot. He was a gifted musician, often playing the piano and organ for his local church; he loved crossword puzzles, playing bridge, reading; he was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs; and going to family dinners.

Surviving Ronald are his children Paula Strand of Brunswick, MD, Pamela Wright of Warrior, AL, and Linda Anastasi of Edgewater, MD; grandchildren Michael White, Tiffany Clarke, Sarah Strand, Vince Wright II, Jessica Perez, Aric Wright, Samantha Morgan, Holly Pelton; great-grandchildren Cassie White, Callie White, Colten Clarke, Annabella Cocco, Ben Hannah Wright (deceased), Olivia Wright, Leonardo Perez, Kairi Perez, Rafaela Perez, Bruce Wright, Soren Wright, Artemis Wright, Sophia Bell, Larry Bell Jr.; brother Marc Pelton; brother Bud Pelton, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronald M. Pelton; Mary Irvin, and Pat Gardner; and stepmother Dorothy Mae Pelton. 

Services will be private. Arrangements by MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., Westminster, MD.
